Last year I had the tremendous opportunity to be a part of history. I was a outreach coordinator for the Missouri Coalition For Life Saving Cures, and a patient advocate. I was a part of team that helped amend the constitution of Missouri. The amendment ensured that all forms of stem cell research would remain legal in the state of Missouri, and all MO patients would have the same rights as every other American. Today I received a thank you letter from the founder of the Stowers Institute and of American Century Investments, Mr. James Stowers. I want to share a part of it with you.

"I wanted to take a moment to again share with you our deep gratitude for your tireless efforts to ensure MO patients have the same access to lifesaving cures and treatments as other Americans, through the passing of the Missouri Stem Cell Research and Cures Initiative.

Ours was not an easy mountain to climb, and we know that it was your determination that brought about the passage of Amendment 2. We know how hard you worked, and we couldn't have asked for a more dedicated team. We were honored by your passion and your commitment."

This was a life changing experience for me, and one that I am honored to have been a part of. I am proud of the work I did with the coalition. I bring the same passion to all that I do. I know of no other way.

Dream Big, but be willing to do the work to get it done.
