Greetings,

Happy Fourth of July!

Well I am back from Indiana. I had a great time and played a lot of golf in 72 hrs. 84 holes to be exact. I have also completed more than 20 official rounds of golf this summer, which means my handicap can now be correctly calculated. I've done it! My official handicap is 9.11. Ironic when think of the anniversary of my spinal cord injury. Reaching this goal once again reiterates to me, that almost anything is possible. Remember I am still partially paralyzed in my upper extremities, and even I was able to accomplish this goal. The goal of being a single-digit handicap golfer. Which if you ask any golfer is rather difficult. I wanted it badly, I worked hard for it, remained focused, and yes believed that it was going to happen! I am very proud of the accomplishment, considering all that I have been through, and still go through today.
What makes you proud about yourself? Do you set goals everyday? Even just one simple goal, everyday can make a difference in your life. I challenge all of you to do this. It can't hurt. So get to work!
